Würth Ireland was founded in 1982 and has since grown into one of the nation’s leading suppliers of fasteners, fixings, tools and exclusive services for all varieties of trade professionals.
For 40 years we have been proudly supplying the nation’s crafters, automotive mechanics, construction companies and maintenance professionals with our high quality tools and components.
History of the Würth Group
Würth AWKG was founded in 1945 by Adolf Würth and managed by his son Reinhold from 1954 until 1994, when he stepped down as chairman. Professor Würth remained active on the Würth advisory board until 2006, at which time he transitioned to serving on the board of trustees, and continues to today.
Würth went international with the formation of Würth Nederlands and Würth Switzerland in 1962. The Würth group continues to expand globally with more than 400 subsidiaries in over 80 countries, including Würth Ireland, established in 1982.
History of Würth Ireland
Würth Ireland was founded in 1982, initially focused on the Automotive industry. Würth Ireland expanded in 1985 with the creation of its Wood division and again 1992 with its sales division for Metal trades.
In 1992, Würth Ireland merged with the Northern Ireland operation of Würth UK’s Würth Winzer Wood.
Würth moved to its new premises on Ballysimon Road, Limerick in 1995 where its headquarters remains to this day. In February 1996, this new office and warehouse complex was officially opened by Mrs. Carmen Würth.
Today, Würth Ireland directly employs more than 150 people who are passionate about our products and mission statement.
Würth Ireland now offers over 25,000 products directly to our customers, with thousands more available to order direct from Germany. Our complete product range includes tools, components and chemicals for all industries and trades.
We also offer special services to all of our customers including isi!! Hazardous Chemical Management System, ORSY storage solutions, and e-procurement services.
The entire Würth Ireland team is thrilled to have reached this milestone, and look forward to providing great products and services to Irish customers and companies for many more years to come.
